The Parents Forum

Our parent forum has been successfully running for the last 7 years. The forum includes parent representatives from each year group, plus members of the senior leadership team and governors and is a very effective way of gathering the ‘parent voice’ on topics relating to the school.

In the academic year 2017/18 numerous ideas and initiatives discussed in the forum have been put into action in the school, to great effect such as:·

  • The distribution of a regular school newsletter to share important updates, exciting news and exceptional achievements by the children. Parents have reported the newsletter has significantly helped with communication of upcoming events and that they have really enjoyed seeing what the children have been up to and sharing their successes

  • Streamlining morning drop-off through painting lines on the playground to help children organise their class when lining up and instating a member of staff on the playground to gather messages to teachers to help increase efficiency once the bell has rung.

The forum has many ongoing initiatives under discussion which you can follow by referring to the meeting minutes, available by the link on this page. If you have any thoughts on the ongoing initiatives or new ideas which you would like to raise, please contact any members of the forum or send an email using the address provided.

If you wish to join the forum, see our current vacancies in the representatives section below, and speak with either Mrs Baxter, Acting Head, Mrs Coxon, Acting Assistant Head/Class Teacher or one of the parent representatives.
