Nursery - Owls

Children begin Nursery in the September following their third birthday.  The first few years of a child's education provide the foundation for their whole schooling. A child's first steps in education begin at home and at Roman Way we work to develop a partnership between home and school so that we can build on your child's current knowledge. We have an open door policy in the Nursery and we are available to talk to you about anything you wish to discuss. We offer provision for 30 hour and 15 hour free entitlement.  For those entitled to 15 free hours parents can pay to top up with additional 3 hour sessions at a cost of £12.00 per session.  We also offer a breakfast club from 8.00am for £3 a session, which includes a healthy breakfast and a range of activities.

We have one intake for nursery in September.  We offer up to 21 places in the morning sessions and 21 in the afternoon sessions. Sessions are staffed by a Teacher and  NVQ 3 qualified Teaching Assistants.  The Nursery is equipped with a variety of excellent resources both indoors and outdoors to encourage all areas of learning in play in line with the new Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
